PPL PARTNERS WITH MIBANK TO MONITOR ILLEGAL POWER CONSUMERS

MiBank, in partnership with PNG Power Limited (PPL), has formed agents to monitor illegal power consumers outside of Port Moresby and in other centers around the country.

PPL in a statement said these agents would enable the illegal power consumers registered under PPL’s amnesty project. They (illegal power consumers) are residing in the outside of the city to make payment by using the MiBank Agents.

The PPL Amnesty project in partnership with MiBank have carried out the first Pilot Cash Collection awareness at Boera Village in Port Moresby today 27 to 28, August 2024.

The PPL Amnesty imitative is the fourth phase and has been ongoing since 2022 and collaborating with USAID –PNG Electrification partnership (USAID – PEP)

PPL Amnesty consumers must have an account with MiBank and have access to its products in order to use this payment portal.

Through the MiBank, it is a bank account that is operated through a mobile phone linked to all three (3) mobile networks. PPL Amnesty consumers can pay a minimum of K30 and a maximum of K5000 for their power bills using these two (2) payments methods.

PPL Amnesty consumers must have these credentials: Have Milbank account and card, have access to MCash and have a smart phone in order to access the online MiBank Mobile Banking App & MiBank Mobile Banking USSD code.
